Crystal Palace have put a deal down on the table for Newcastle United target Ryan Fraser, according to reports.

And a Champions League outfit, thought to be RB Leipzig, are in advanced talks to snap up Valentino Lazaro with the Magpies yet to open up talks about extending the player’s loan deal.

As revealed by the Gazette, United have been tracking Scotland international wideman Fraser since January 2019, and made a pre-contract bid to sign him up in May.

Meanwhile, Lazaro’s agent Maz Hagmayr has been speaking to the Austrian press about his player’s future, with the door looking like it is closed on both a return to Inter Milan and Tyneside.

"With a club, we are already very far,” he told Krone.at.

“I would like to discuss all of this with Valentino after his vacation. There are interested parties. I’m talking to some clubs, but there’s no decision at this stage.

“With a club, as I said, one is very far."

Elsewhere, United have let one young goalkeeper leave on a temporary basis, with another could be allowed to depart permanently.

Freddie Woodman, according to the Sun, could be shown the door this summer, instead of sent back out on loan. He spent the whole of last season on loan at Championship Swansea City.

And Jake Turner has signed a season-long loan deal with League Two Morecambe. Turner was a regular for the club’s under-23 side last season, having signed on a free in 2019 from Bolton Wanderers.
