Newcastle announce Darlington friendly

The fixture (3pm kick-off) will be staged at the 25,000-capacity Northern Echo Arena, the non-league club's former home.

Darlington director John Tempest said: "We're delighted to have secured both Newcastle and Sunderland, who will form a key part of our preparations for the new season and our fundraising initiative.

"We welcome old and new fans in what will be our first game back in the town.

"We've worked closely with the Northern Echo Arena staff, to whom we're very grateful, to attract thefixtures that we hope will showcase both the club and the town."

Tickets are priced at £10 for adults and £6 for concessions and can be bought from the Northern Echo Arena.
