Model railway club returns with its annual exhibition this weekend

The fourth annual model railway exhibition will take place at the weekend.

A model railway club is encouraging the public to come along to its annual exhibition.

The model railway club in Jarrow is hosting its fourth annual exhibition over the weekend which will exhibitors and traders from all over the country at the event.

The exhibition is typically attended by between 700 and 1,000 members of the public which displays members projects. Jarrow Model Railway Club was founded in July 2019 and holds its weekly meetings in Primrose C.A., Lambton Terrace, Jarrow.

The club caters for all tastes and abilities in railway modelling and railways in general with members ages ranging from early teens to those in their eighties. The club has thriving membership of 54 at present. Many of whom are under the age of 30.

Members bring along projects to work upon and often to discuss progress and seek advice and help.

Jarrow Model Railway Club Exhibition takes place on Saturday, 18 May from 10am until 5pm and Sunday, 19 May from 10am until 4pm at Primrose C.A., Lambton Terrace, Jarrow.

Entry fees are £6 for adults, £3 for children and £14 for families.
