Georginio Wijnaldum's refused to reveal whether he has a clause in his contract allowing him to leave if Newcastle United are relegated.

The midfielder joined the club last summer from Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven.

Wijnaldum made a bright start to the season, but he faded late last year and he hasn't scored since January.

Asked about his contract, the 25-year-old said: “Do I have a clause that I could get leave after relegation?

“I do not give information about what is in my contract.

“I do not think about the end of the season. I focus on the upcoming matches.

“The club is working hard to put everything in a row, and I am confident that it will be OK.”
