Arrest after alleged shop theft in South Shields
A man has been arrested after an alleged theft from a shop in South Shields.
The alleged incident took place at Chichester News, in Stanhope Parade, yesterday evening.
A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "A man has been arrested on suspicion of theft after stealing items from Chichester News, in Stanhope Parade, yesterday at about 6.20pm.
"He has been released on police bail."
